Product Overview
Sunflower seed oil is a plant oil extracted from sunflower seeds and used as a cooking oil.
Sunflower seeds, also known as sunflower kernels, have an oil content of 30%–45%, with some reaching up to 60%. The oil is golden yellow, clear, and aromatic, making it an important cooking oil. It contains a high amount of linoleic acid, an essential unsaturated fatty acid that promotes cell regeneration, protects skin health, and helps reduce cholesterol buildup in the blood, making it a high-nutrition oil. Sunflower seed oil ranks fourth in global consumption among plant oils, following palm oil, soybean oil, and canola oil. The global production of sunflower seed oil remains stable between 10 to 12 million tons, and it is a major cooking oil in European countries.

Benefits and Uses of Sunflower Seed Oil
Sunflower seed oil is rich in sterols, vitamins, and linoleic acid. It has the highest natural Vitamin E content among major plant oils and contains around 70% linoleic acid. It can lower cholesterol levels, reduce triglycerides, and help lower blood pressure. The oil is light and transparent, preserving the natural flavor of foods during cooking, and has a high smoke point to minimize the health risks associated with smoke. Sunflower seed oil contains about 90% unsaturated fatty acids, including 66% linoleic acid, and provides Vitamin E, plant sterols, phospholipids, and carotenoids.
It also has a significant amount of Vitamin E, approximately 100-120 mg per 100 grams, which helps delay cellular aging and maintain youthfulness. Regular consumption can strengthen the body and prolong life. Additionally, Vitamin B3 in sunflower seed oil has clear benefits for treating nervous disorders and depression. Its protein, potassium, phosphorus, iron, and magnesium content are effective for treating diabetes and iron deficiency anemia and play an important role in the healthy growth of bones and teeth in adolescents. Linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid, supports development, physiological regulation, and prevents skin dryness and scaling.

Plant Source - Sunflower Seeds
Sunflower seeds come from the sunflower (Helianthus annuus), an annual herbaceous plant in the Asteraceae family. The sunflower has a robust, upright stem covered with fine hairs; its seeds are achene, with larger seeds on the outer ring and smaller seeds on the inner ring, varying in shape from elongated to oval to nearly round, and come in various colors including pure white, gray, or striped black. Sunflower blooms from June to July and fruits from August to October.
Sunflowers are native to southern and western North America as well as northern Peru and Mexico. They are now primarily grown in Northeast, North China, and Northwest regions of China. Sunflowers can thrive in a range of soils, from fertile to arid, barren, and saline-alkaline soils, with a strong tolerance to saline-alkaline conditions. Sunflowers are propagated by seed.
