Product Overview

Carrot seed oil is known in aromatherapy as a "base oil" and is distilled from wild carrots. Although essential oil can also be extracted from regular edible carrots, the two types of plants are similar in stem and leaf structure, but wild carrots have coarser tissue and inedible roots. Wild carrots have purple-centered white flowers, and the entire plant can be distilled for essential oil. This oil is primarily produced in Europe, with some sources from Egypt and India.
